Data-driven upsell uses AI to read the data a business already collects from its clients' systems, spot real opportunities to improve, and prepare the right email, for the right client, at the right moment.

What it is

An analysis that runs over the anonymised data a business already holds about its clients and looks for signals of opportunity: where it would make sense to grow, add or improve. In a solar-energy company, for instance, it can identify who would benefit from more panels, a battery for storage, or a meter to measure the system better. When it finds a clear case, it prepares an upsell or cross-sell email, personalised on what the data shows, and sends it.

Where it pays off

It makes sense in any SME that accumulates usage data from its clients and knows there are opportunities inside it but has no hands to look for them one by one. It turns idle data into revenue, with recommendations that genuinely help the client, not mass sends nobody wants to receive.

How we build it

We work out what data exists and make sure the analysis runs on anonymised data. We define what counts as a real opportunity, not noise. The AI analyses, proposes the opportunities and drafts the emails; we agree what goes out automatically and what gets a review first. We test on real data, measure the response, and tune the criteria until the recommendations hit the mark.

This workflow isn't theoretical. See the real project where we implemented it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this spam to my customers?

Only if it is built badly. The difference is starting from a real signal in that customer's data rather than from a list, and drafting for a person to send. Fewer contacts, each with a concrete reason.

What data does it use?

The ones your operation already holds about that customer: what was installed, how it is being used, what usually comes next. It does not fetch data from anywhere the customer does not know about.

Who decides what gets proposed?

The rule for what is worth proposing is yours and we write it with you. The workflow flags and drafts; the proposal goes out when someone reads it and agrees.
